What a surprise. I do not know who brought this wine, but what a fabulous Ribera del Duero. Deep oak and vanilla with so much promise. Should have kept you longer, but so happy to enjoy this bottle tonight. Perfect partner to pork fillet.

Deep, dark red. The legendary second wine from Danish winemaking genius Peter Sisseck, sourced from old vineyards around La Horra. The cooler, perfectly balanced 2021 vintage brought a welcome shift from recent hot years—yielding wines of remarkable elegance, energy, and precision. A blend of 97% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) with 3% Garnacha, co-fermented with native yeasts and aged approximately 18 months in French oak with drastically reduced new wood to preserve pure, chalky terroir minerality. The nose is noble

Have tasted it in Mallorca and when we have ordered it the waiter got to ask for the price as he was shocked we have ordered it. Even though I was never a Tempranillo fan, this was the wine that has changed my mind and preference. It is an elegant, strong Tempranillo red wine that paired so nice with jambon and pardon peppers. A deeply concentrated bouquet of black fruits perfectly ripe, paired with layers of flowers and calming on sweet spices. A lingering red wine that is expensive but worths the money!

Dark garnet. Initially quite closed on the nose, with dark fruit and tobacco. The palate is restrained at first, showing dark fruit, a touch of smoke and sweet spices like cinnamon and vanilla. With time in the glass, a subtle herby lift emerges. Feels a bit tight and understated right now, likely due to no decanting. Needs air to reveal its full depth.

My first “Hole-in-one” blind tasted! I’ve had it a few times and when I tasted it this time I sort of recognized the “like-psi-but-more-refined” character. I think it helped that it is quite young. To me it has a distinct temperament where it is quite lively in a unique way. Also: Still a great glass!

Shows a lovely counterpoint between freshness and generosity, with good energy and drive to the expressive range of plum sauce and warm fig flavors, plus accents of vanilla, cedar, leafy herbs and spices. Firm, fine-grained tannins show supple integration, emerging on the long and fragrant finish.

Top-tier Ribera showing plush concentration with refined edges. Powerful but balanced — beautifully handled fruit and oak. Drinking superbly young, but will evolve gracefully. A benchmark bottle. • Aroma: Dark plum, cedarwood, violets, touch of graphite • Body: Full-bodied with finely integrated tannins • Palate: Black cherry, crushed stone, balsamic lift, polished oak • Grape: Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) • Vintage: 2021

Beautiful! Once it opened it had lots of leather and tobacco notes with hints or blackberry and vanilla. Loved it!
