  • Ageing / Cellaring potential: 18 months in French oak barrels, high cellaring potential

The vineyard

Full bodied, fruity, spicy, powerful and better balanced than some years ago when I tasted this wine for the first time.

Vintage 2015: amazing petit verdot. Huge bouquet and initial kick to your palate. Would appreciate a bit more aftertaste.

Better after some time. If let to breath gets interesting. Black fruits, licorice, wood. Heavy for my taste.

Bombastic wine, a special one as it is not too often I see 100% Petit Verdot. Expensive. Even after an hour of decanting feels a bit closed, maybe needed few more years in the bottle 🤷🏻‍♂️ From near Ronda in the Malaga region. Mostly dark fruit and oak - blackberry, cassis, black olives. Earthy with licorice, mint, smoke and pepper. Espresso too. I’d give it few more years in the bottle to really shine.

Probably should have let this one age for a bit longer. Needs time to properly decant but you can tell the quality is there. Heavy tannins

Big, bold wine with great depth of flavour, this wine is full bodied and needs decanting and to be drunk with excellent meat dishes like goat or beef.
