The vineyard
The grapes originate from Finca Los Hoyales, a 1.8-hectare parcel of old vines planted in 1958 at an altitude of 750 meters in Padilla de Duero. The vineyard is managed using biodynamic principles, respecting the natural environment.
Winemaking
Fermentation takes place in 500-liter French oak barrels with daily punching down. After undergoing malolactic fermentation in the same barrels, the wine is aged for 22 months in oak and rests for another year in the bottle.
