Château d'Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé 2023 37.5 cl (Media Botella)

This dry rosé wine from the AOC Côtes de Provence is crafted by the Château d'Esclans winery using Grenache, Cinsault, and Vermentino. It features a pale color, aromas of fresh red berries with subtle floral notes, and a smooth, rounded palate.

Key facts

  • Grape variety: Grenache, Cinsault, Vermentino
  • D.O. / Region: AOC Côtes de Provence
  • Winery: Château d'Esclans

The vineyard

The grapes are sourced from vineyards located in the heart of Provence, northeast of Saint-Tropez. The harvest is carried out manually using small crates to preserve the integrity of the fruit before it reaches the winery.

Ideal combination

Winemaking

Following gentle crushing and controlled cooling to maintain vivacity, the juice undergoes fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to retain the natural freshness of the varieties.

Strawberry and peach on the nose and on the initial palate. Light and refreshing , sippable on its own and a worthy pairing with watermelon gazpacho. A wine that is food friendly and summer ready. It always gets complements when served to guests. Enjoy!

Love this rose; it’s my favorite. 2025 vintage has great balance of fruitiness and acidity. Good mouth feel; medium bodied. Good value at Costco.

Château d’Esclans Whispering Angel : one of my favourite rosé 👌 Pale salmon-pink color. Aromas of peach, grapefruit, red berries, and flowers. Light-to-medium body. Crisp acidity with a smooth mineral finish. Dry overall style with subtle fruit sweetness. #family #pool #goodweather #sun #party #fun

Paired with our sweet and sour swai; first glass while cooking. Nice to sip, and paired quite well with the meal's vinegar-based sauce. Strawberry and minerals nose. Faint, crisp, white grapefruit palate, fading to green strawberry. With food and warming slightly, strawberry throughout. Costco, 17.39

MIDNIGHT SNACK Well this and a fresh shrimp Ceasar! Made by the Whispering Angel Chateau, this juice is fit for a king! Soft, light and refreshing, this salmon colored juice dances lightly across the palate sprinkling notes of strawberry shortcake with flavors of mango, raspberry & tangerine on a nice base of acid. Shh! Listen! The Cherubs....can you hear them? 92 pts

A rosé from “Côtes De Provence, France”. What a good looking rosé in the bottle. Even better looking in the glass. Mainly Grenache with some Cincault and Vermentino. I agree with the quote “evocative flavours of grapefruit and citrus combined with refreshing acidity” I want to add all the nice red fruit like strawberry, raspberry and cherry and that says it all. WoW!! What an excellent wine and what an interesting experience with very good friends at a wonderful occasion. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Delicate and dry, this pale Provence rosé opens with soft notes of strawberry, citrus peel, and white blossom. Crisp acidity keeps it lively and refreshing, making it ideal for light fare, early afternoon sipping, or warm-weather gatherings. Stylish without being showy, it’s a perennial QPR winner that delivers elegance at an accessible price.

I don’t regularly reach for rosé, but Whispering Angel 2023 by Château d'Esclans has me rethinking that! Made from Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle (Vermentino), this rosé impressed me with its smoothness and exceptional balance of vibrant fruit, crisp acidity, and a touch of tannins. Elegantly refreshing, it’s a standout with its dry yet lush profile. Written with the support of my AI companion Copilot

Golf course wine. From backlog, I don't recall who I shared this with. A potentially overrated Provence rosé, it's one I always enjoy. Château d'Esclans is situated in the heart of Provence, north of St. Tropez. The Angel is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle. Notes of earthy raspberries, orange peel, vanilla, cherry and ginger.

Oh what a stunning rosé! Light pink with an orange hue in color. On the nose so much strawberry and watermelon. On the palate bombarded with peach, citrus and gorgeous minerals. The finish is long, creamy and rich with rose petal, lavender and even rhubarb. Stunner!

Welcome back my wifie! Long time no Rosè. Blend ofGrenache, Cinsault and Rolle. Salmon pink on eyes. Noses of bright citrus and citrus blossom. Full body, H acidity, lengthy finish. Palate of orange, lemon, strawberry, watermelon, nectarine, hints of stone, wet gravel, and rhubarb. Great structure from citrus, red fruit, succulent stone fruit with intensity and outstanding underlying minerality. Heavy weight rosè from Provence with high tartness, making it gravitous and playful at the same time. Love this.

Totally live up to its hype and is a great wine especially at its price point of $20. Pale Salmon color in the glass, almost an orange wine. Strawberry, watermelon, yellow peach notes just burst through on the nose. The notes continue on the palate but it quickly hits you with lemon acidic notes and a nice round creamy end. Excellent hot weather wine and would go well with cheese or delicate seafood dishes. Paired this with truffle popcorn and Shrimp over mango herbanero sauce

On the nose - roses and strawberries. On the pallet, a bright burst of acidity hits the front of the mouth immediately smooths out to a velvety finish.
