The vineyard
The grapes are sourced from the single vineyard La Hoya, a 3.3-hectare plot planted in 1965 in Elvillar de Álava. Facing east to ensure slow and balanced ripening, the vines grow in deep, well-drained loamy soils.
Winemaking
After fermentation, the wine undergoes ageing during its first winter in 500 and 600-liter oak barrels, followed by a second winter in large oak foudres to achieve its final balance.
