The vineyard

The grapes originate from old vines located in the Les Flandes area, within the Heredad de Can Llopart estate. These historic plots, planted between 1934 and 1981, benefit from unique soils that impart a distinct identity and depth to the fruit.

Why the complexity of flavor seemed more than in Espumos, length-wise it was a bit shorter. But it’s definitely the one to enjoy. 100 months on lees. 60% Xarel·lo, 40% Macabeo (Viura). A bit of cranberry in addition to the already standard oak, brioche and hazelnut, with apple pie and baked cinnamon rolls. Such a lovely finish of the evening)

Undoubtedly the best Spanish sparkling I had so far🍾🚨 Stylish box & beautiful bottle; golden in color; medium perlage & minuscule yet perpetual bubbles; ~9C appeared adequate for serving. Apricot, baked apple, butter, mango, pear, orange rind, caramel, notes of yeast and toast, some dried fruit, almond, and soft minerals— deep in various fruits and complex in flavors with a mighty pleasant, lingering aftertaste. Beautiful Corpinnat! 60% Xarel-lo and 40% Macabeu. From old vineyards, planted 1934 and 1956. Long ageing, a minimum of 96 months before disgorgement. Pure joy 🥂 Fine bubbles, elegant and complex, ripe Apple, baked apple, almond, and hints of spicy notes. Great! Excelente choice for special occasions.

BWW#34 A great sparkling, from over 60y old vines of autochthonous Xarel-lo 60% and Macabeu, produced with reserve wines ageing in oak barrels and with at least 84 months on lees. A golden colour, very fine bubbles, lime, toasted almond, hazelnut, honey, brioche, light caramel. I thought there could be some partial MLF, but if that’s the case it was spontaneous. Great! But to note, it is for those that like heavier style sparkling, some in our group did not fully adhere.

Dark gold in color and dry on the palate. Full bodied with medium plus acidity and medium sized bubbles. Showing citrus, apples, pears, light earth, toasted nuts, yeast and bread. Short finish with almonds. This 12-year-old sparkling wine from Spain is a little oxidized, which gives it some character. Made in the traditional method. 11.5% alcohol by volume. 90 points.

Very impressing Sparkling Brut Gran Reserve out from one of the oldest Cava Houses in Spain and aged in bottle for a minimum of 60 months! Golden yellow colored with fine and constant bubbles. Elegant and intense nose reminiscent of dried apricot, toasted baguette, orchard fruits, lemon preserves, minerals, roasted peanuts, pear skins and apple blossoms. Full and creamy with an enduring sophisticated and slightly saline aftertaste, Impressive!!
