For the toast. Champagne or a cava gran reserva, to open on the day or on the honeymoon.
For the first anniversary. A Rioja or Ribera del Duero reserva, which will be at its best a year from now.
For ten years from now. A gran reserva, a Priorat or a Bordeaux from a fine vintage: a gift that grows with the marriage. To really impress, choose it in magnum.
Lying down, in the dark, at about 12–14 °C, away from sudden temperature changes. A cool cupboard or a wine fridge is enough.
