The vineyard

The grapes are sourced from selected parcels across the Champagne region. Chardonnay vineyards in Trépail and Villers-Marmery provide freshness, while Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Aÿ adds structure to the blend.

Wow, 26 years old and still blows my mind. Yes it is not youththful and fresh, but mature, elegant and beautiful... The biscuit, brioche, toast, cream, almond, lemon, minerals and orange peel are more pronounced, the acidity is a bit down, making place for richness and wideness The color is a littke darker, but still vivid... Not a Champagne for the normal drinker, this is a conaisseurs Champagne....multi layered, very fine bubbles... Simply loved it

The nose is richly complex, revealing ripe pear, baked apple, citrus peel and dried apricot, layered with brioche, toasted hazelnut, almond, honey, gingerbread and subtle mineral notes. The palate is powerful yet remarkably precise, with concentrated orchard fruit, vibrant acidity and a beautifully creamy texture. Layers of pastry, toasted nuts and spice develop with air, leading to an exceptionally long, complex and saline finish.

24 years old. Still agil! Fresch as a young wine and also ripe at the same time. Surprisingly great acidity and minerality. Butter and bread like a croissant. Fruity, pear, citrus, grapefruit, honey, oolong, white flowers, smells lik a spring garden. One of the best wine I’v been drinking. What would ten years more in my cellar have done to it. Maybe some freschness would be gone and it’s at it’s preak right now. I beleve so.

2015 wine tasting Pungent brioche toast cream! my favourite brand and great vintage. Fruit wise have waves of apple citrus, with little bitter almond that gives more later to the champagne M+ acid, long stream of bubbles, M+ alcohol, M+ intensity. Want to find another champagne that can beat it.
