Este vino se presenta con un carácter fresco y armonioso, logrando un equilibrio perfecto entre cuerpo y ligereza. Pago de Carraovejas 2022 es un vino excepcional de la D.O. Ribera del Duero, elaborado con esmero por la prestigiosa Bodega Pago de Carraovejas. Este vino captura a la perfección la esencia del valle que lo vio nacer, un viñedo único enclavado en un paisaje de laderas y páramos que alcanzan los 900 metros de altitud. Su coupage equilibrado, compuesto por Tempranillo (93%), Cabernet Sauvignon (4%) y Merlot (3%), refleja la riqueza de su terroir.

El viñedo del Valle de Carraovejas está marcado por su singularidad. Los suelos terciarios, formados por margas calizas, arcillas y afloramientos de arenisca, obligan a las cepas a autorregularse y producir frutos de calidad excepcional. Las parcelas abarcan desde las suaves ondulaciones que descienden hacia el arroyo hasta laderas con pendientes de más del 30%. Estas orientaciones al sur y norte aportan distintas personalidades a las uvas, creando un perfil complejo y equilibrado que define a este vino.

La vendimia de 2022 fue realizada a mano, seleccionando cuidadosamente los racimos en el viñedo. En bodega, se llevó a cabo una doble selección, primero de racimos y luego de bayas. El mosto se elaboró utilizando un sistema por gravedad, preservando al máximo la calidad de las uvas. Durante la fermentación, se emplearon levaduras y bacterias lácticas autóctonas de la finca, asegurando un carácter auténtico. Este vino maduró durante 12 meses en barricas de roble francés y americano de 225 y 600 litros, afinándose con un cuidado extremo en cada etapa del proceso. Finalmente, fue clarificado con clara de huevo natural y embotellado en la primavera de 2024.
