Este vino destaca por su elegancia y suavidad, sostenida por taninos firmes que realzan su carácter. En sus matices se perciben intensos aromas y sabores de ciruela, mora y cereza negra en plena madurez.

Domaine de la Chapelle Hermitage 1999 es un distinguido vino tinto elaborado exclusivamente con Syrah en la región AOC Hermitage (Valle del Ródano, Francia). Recientemente rebautizado, Domaine de la Chapelle ahora representa la nueva marca de los célebres vinos tinto Hermitage y su contraparte blanca, Le Chevalier de Sterimberg, ambos anteriormente parte del portafolio de Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné.

Este viñedo de 26 hectáreas, propiedad de la familia Jaboulet desde 1919, se extiende por las laderas del Hermitage. Inició su transición hacia prácticas de agricultura orgánica poco después de que la familia Frey asumiera el control, logrando la certificación orgánica en 2016 y adoptando métodos biodinámicos en 2018.

El Hermitage Rouge se produce a partir de Syrah cultivada en las partes más rocosas de las parcelas Méal, Bessard, Rocoules y Greffieux, con viñedos que tienen entre 40 y 100 años de antigüedad. El proceso de vinificación se lleva a cabo en barricas de roble, y se recomienda servir este vino a una temperatura de 16 a 18 grados Celsius, idealmente en una copa de Burdeos. Este vino es un excelente acompañante para platos de carnes asadas, cordero, caza, guisos y quesos duros y ricos.
