The grapes that give life to Valbuena 5º come from selected plots on gentle slopes with calcium-rich soils, which gives a distinctive character and a unique structure to this wine. The Finca Vega Sicilia vineyards cover 210 hectares, with an average age of 35 years and altitudes ranging from 700 to 900 meters above sea level, ideal conditions for producing grapes of exceptional quality.
The grapes are harvested by hand in 12 kg crates, ensuring meticulous selection. Aging takes place during the first year in a combination of oak barrels and vats of 8.500 and 21.000 liters, followed by aging exclusively in large oak vats, refining its character and elegance. Production reached 176.876 bottles, 5.566 magnums, and some special formats, bottled in May 2024.
