Description

Intense ruby ​​red color, clean and bright, with a dense formation of tears. The tertiary nuances of the wood are revealed with hints of dark chocolate, coffee and cigar box. In the mouth, it is long and unctuous, with fresh acidity and ripe tannins. A balanced and young wine.

Ramón Bilbao Mirto 2016 is a red wine made by the prestigious Ramón Bilbao Winery, located in Rioja Alta and recognized for its wine excellence. Founded in 1924 by the Bilbao Murga family, led by Don Ramón, this winery has maintained a tradition of quality, standing out with the renowned Ramón Bilbao and Viña Turzaballa wines.

The September rains promoted optimal ripening. The harvest has been classified as Very Good by the Regulatory Council of the DO Ca Rioja. The wine is made in small French oak vats at a controlled temperature to obtain maximum extraction of aromas and colors. Then, malolactic fermentation is carried out without racking, using the movement of the lees through batonage. The process includes 19 months of aging in new French oak barrels.
