Description

In this vintage, the Pintia stands out as an exceptional option with a unique vertical and fruity expression. Its intense and bright aromas, such as blackberry, blueberry and cedar, provide a captivating sensory experience. This wine presents an intriguing plot, accompanied by a silky texture that guarantees immediate pleasure, although its journey extends in an astonishing way. Discover the fascination of this Pintia, perfect to enjoy and appreciate on any occasion.

Pintia 2018, an outstanding wine from the DO Toro, is an exceptional creation of the Tempos Vega Sicilia wine group. This vineyard is located on the banks of the Duero River, within the DO Toro, covering an area of 108 hectares in San Román de Hornija and Pedrosa del Rey. Extreme climatic conditions, with cold winters and warm summers, influence the complex soils characterized by an abundance of boulders.

This single-varietal Tinta de Toro comes from plots with an average age of 34 years and is harvested manually in 12 kg boxes. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are placed in a cold room for 12 hours to preserve the fruit intensity. Prior to fermentation, a 5-day cold maceration is carried out in oak wood vats, and malolactic fermentation also takes place in wood. The choice of barrels, whether 70% of French origin and 30% of American oak, depends on the characteristics of the vintage. The wine rests in these barrels between 12 and 15 months before being bottled and experiences additional time in the bottle, never less than 12 months before being marketed.

The experience accumulated in each bottle is a testimony to the exceptional character of this wine. Explore and purchase Pintia 2018 in our online store, where you can buy this extraordinary wine and immerse yourself in a unique experience.
