Pinea Korde Tinto 2023 is an exceptional wine created by the prestigious Pinea Winery, located in the renowned DO Ribera del Duero. This unique project was born thanks to the vision of Mexicans Vicente Pliego and Hugo T. del Pozzo, who identified the potential of this region to produce extremely high-quality wines. The Korde Tinto comes from a historic vineyard registered since 1945, known as "La Isa". This unique plot, located on a high moorland next to almond trees, has clay-calcareous soils ideal for growing vines. Here the Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) variety predominates, accompanied by a co-planting of red and white vines that add complexity to the wine.
The harvest was carried out manually on September 19, 2023, a slightly earlier date than the winery's other reds, with the aim of achieving a balanced ripeness. This care highlights the grape's natural freshness and provides vibrant acidity, reflecting the essence of the Old World in a unique expression of diversity.
The winemaking process took place in a small winery, using 50% whole bunches, some of which were pressed during vatting. During fermentation, only the cap was pumped over, seeking to limit extraction and maintain fruit purity. Devatting took place before the end of alcoholic fermentation. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation took place in a single 500-liter French oak barrel, where the wine aged for two winters.
With only 623 bottles produced and bottled on March 19, 2025, this red wine is a true limited-edition rarity. It can be enjoyed from its release, although it will reach its peak after two years. The recommended serving temperature is 15°C. A gem for collectors and wine lovers looking to buy wine online with exclusivity, character, and unparalleled quality.
