Description

This wine reflects the full maturity of the vineyard through a juicy palate dominated by dark fruits, with a vibrant and well-integrated expression. It stands out for its balance, elegance, and energy, offering a sensation of purity and finesse in every sip.

Pago de Los Capellanes Crianza 2023 is an exquisite dry red wine, composed entirely of Tempranillo from the DO Ribera del Duero. Produced in the renowned winery located in Pedrosa de Duero, Burgos, this wine marks a milestone in the winemaking history of the Rodero Villa family.

This wine comes from carefully selected plots in Pedrosa de Duero, La Horra and Gumiel del Mercado, with vineyards with an average age of 35 years. These vineyards are planted on clayey-calcareous and stony soils, characteristically poor and of low productivity, with a yield for this vintage of 4.500 kg per hectare.

The winemaking process begins with a cold pre-fermentation maceration for three days at less than 12º C, followed by inoculation with selected indigenous yeasts. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature, with frequent pumping over and meticulous phenolic control during maceration. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously at low temperature, complemented by periodic stirring of the lees in the tank. This wine is aged for twelve months in French oak barrels. For optimal preservation, it is recommended to store it in a cool (12-14°C), dark place, lying flat.

For those interested in purchasing a wine that represents the essence of Ribera del Duero with a focus on authenticity and respect for the terroir, the Pago de Los Capellanes Crianza 2023 is an exceptional choice.
