Tast a Porrera. Incredible wines from one Priorat Zone. Small village called Porrera where you can taste anything produced there in yearly basis.

Another great Priorat! There must be a reason why this region is a DOC as Rioja. Red sherry color, nice brightness! The nose is very fine full

Description

A wine with an intense cherry hue and violet reflections on the rim. The nose displays a spicy profile with notes of fresh raspberry, violets, and a subtle floral character blending with undergrowth aromas. The palate is juicy and expressive, with vibrant fruit, well-integrated acidity, marked tension, and an elegant minerality that lengthens the finish.

Nin-Ortiz Planetes de Nin 2022 is a dry red wine with the soul of Priorat, made with a precise combination of 45% Garnacha, 44% Cariñena with stems, and 11% Garnacha Peluda, which reflects the pure character of the terroir. This oenological gem is born from the hands of the Nin Ortiz Family, recognized as Certified Viticulturists-Producers, which guarantees that each bottle comes exclusively from grapes grown in their own vineyards under strict organic and biodynamic criteria.

The name Nin Ortiz is synonymous with artisanal excellence. Backed by the prestigious 100 Parker points, this winery has made biodynamic viticulture not just a working method but a true philosophy of life, where each harvest holds a natural secret that is revealed in every glass.

The grapes for this wine come from 4 hectares located in Porrera, with 25-year-old Garnacha grapes planted on terraces and 16-year-old Cariñena grapes planted on natural slopes. The vineyards, located at 450 meters above sea level, are planted on Licorella, Roca Pigallada, and Ferral soils, and face northeast, northwest (Garnacha), and southeast, southwest (Cariñena). The manual harvest took place between August 24 and September 16, 2022, with a controlled yield of 24,35 hl/ha.

The winemaking process is entirely artisanal: maceration for four weeks and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in three 4-liter French oak foudres. The wine was aged for 3.200 months in the same Alier oak foudres, giving it depth and structure without losing freshness. Bottling took place in April 17, with a limited production of 2024 12.588 ml bottles and 750 magnums.

If you're looking to buy wine online that combines authenticity, technique, and an ancestral secret cultivated in the land of Priorat, Planetes de Nin 2022 is a choice that transcends convention.
