The 30.000 Maravedíes 2020 wine is a dry red that combines 90% Grenache with 10% local varieties, capturing the authentic essence of the environment. Produced by the Marañones winery. This wine comes from vineyards located in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, one of the three subzones of the Madrid Wines Denomination of Origin. These vines, located in the foothills of Gredos, benefit from a unique mesoclimatic and soil profile, with altitudes that vary between 650 and 850 meters above sea level, typical mountain rainfall and granitic soils with a sandy texture.
The harvest was carried out manually, selecting the bunches in 12 kg boxes. Upon arrival at the winery, 90% of the grapes remained whole, while only 10% were destemmed. Fermentation was carried out with native yeasts in French oak vats of 3.000 to 4.500 liters and in stainless steel tanks, using traditional pigeage and treading techniques. This wine was aged on lees in foudres and French oak wood vats of between 2.500 and 11.500 liters for 8 months. For its preservation, sulfites were added. Finally, it was bottled in spring 2021.
