Vivino Rating way off for this wine. Perhaps one of the nicest Rioja I've had in a long time. Everything perfectly balanced and smooth. Traditional

Description

This wine has an attractive cherry red colour, with an intense layer and a seductive shine. Its complex aroma combines the sweetness of stewed red fruits with subtle toasted notes and a delicate background of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is fleshy and well structured, with a balanced acidity that enhances its harmony and elegance.

The Ijalba Reserva 2019 red wine is distinguished by its exceptional combination of Tempranillo (80%) and Graciano (20%), grown in the DO Ca. Rioja by Bodegas Viña Ijalba, founded by Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba. This winery, which began its history in 1991, is now owned by the third generation of the family.

As pioneers in the region, Viña Ijalba stands out for its commitment to organic wine production, being the first organic wine estate in the area. Maintaining its roots as a family business, the winery covers more than 90 hectares of vineyards distributed in the surroundings of Logroño, San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Valle del Iregua.

The production process of this Reserva begins with a harvest in 500 kg boxes, followed by a fermentation of 18 days and aging for 18 to 22 months in French and American Oak barrels. With a minimum of 15 months of maturation in the bottle, Ijalba Reserva is presented as a well-structured wine suitable for aging, standing out for its ruby color and balsamic notes.

Discover its toasted nuances, accompanied by subtle aromas of herbs and black cocoa, achieving exceptional harmony. Don't miss the opportunity to buy this unique Ijalba Reserva 2019 wine in our online store.
