Description

This exquisite wine presents an attractive cherry color with violet highlights, showing a dense and rounded tear that highlights its unique structure. Its aroma, fragrant and intense, reveals careful ripening and selection of grapes. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and elegance, revealing characteristic notes acquired during its aging in the barrel. Immerse yourself in a unique sensory experience with this wine that perfectly combines aromatic intensity with the freshness and distinction of its flavor, the result of meticulous and select production.

Flor de Pingus 2015, a red wine from the DO Ribera del Duero produced by Dominio de Pingus under the direction of the prominent agronomist and oenologist Peter Sisseck, stands out as a wine gem. Recognized as one of the most prominent winemakers in Spain, Peter Sisseck leads the production of this wine in the small Dominio de Pingus winery.

Made primarily from grapes from vineyards located in La Horra, Flor de Pingus 2015 comes from a set of 30.8 hectares spread across different sectors of the town, which gives it a diversity of soil profiles in its composition. The vinification is carried out in a segregated manner by neighborhoods such as El Pino, Fuentearriba, Fuentenarro and Castillo, allowing a unique expression of each terroir. Sisseck has adopted traditional cultivation methods, replanting some plots with ancient techniques, using riparian roots that are then grafted with massal selections.

Flor de Pingus 2015 is fermented in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts – no need for selected yeasts since around 2001, except in special circumstances – and matured in oak barrels, mainly previously used and of various sizes.

The year 2015 was characterized by being warm and ripe, and the key was an early harvest to preserve the wine's vitality. In June 2017, nearly 90,000 bottles were bottled. This wine has excellent aging potential, maintaining its complexity and elegance over time. For those who wish to purchase a wine that exemplifies power and elegance, Flor de Pingus 2015 is an outstanding choice that reflects the winemaking excellence of Ribera del Duero.
