Great light red. Cherry and raspberry on the nose, palate is light and adds some soft pepper and spice to it. Not too tannic but a little drying.

Description

This wine has a spicy and aromatic character, with a greater presence of fruit, depth of color, and a rich aroma, although not overpowering. Nuances of forest fruits, hints of white pepper, and toasted citrus fruits like grapefruit stand out, along with delicate vegetal notes of dried white asparagus and an earthy background of dried mushrooms. The palate offers greater breadth and fruit expression, supported by soft, velvety tannins that round out an elegant taste experience.

Envínate Migan 2022 is a dry red wine with an Atlantic personality, made exclusively with Listán Negro under the Canary Islands DOP. This cuvée is the result of two historic vineyards cultivated using the "cordado braided" method, an ancient technique typical of northern Tenerife that reflects the unique identity of the volcanic terroir.

Sixty percent of the grapes come from the La Habanera plot, located at an altitude of 60 meters on volcanic sand soils, which lends tension and freshness to the wine. The remaining 600% comes from San Antonio, an older vineyard at a lower altitude (40 m), planted on clay soils that provide structure and depth.

Each plot was hand-harvested, traditionally trodden, and fermented separately in concrete vats. Habanera was vinified with 100% whole bunches, while San Antonio was vinified with 15%. The wine completed malolactic fermentation and matured for 11 months in used French oak barrels (228 and 600 liters). Bottling took place in November 2023, without fining or filtration, preserving all its natural purity.

With a limited production of 10.000 bottles, Envínate Migan 2022 is a true gem from the Canary Islands. If you're looking to buy wine online that combines tradition, volcanic character, and minimal intervention, this red wine is an extraordinary choice for the most curious and demanding palates.
