Latest vintage, tills quite bold and reductive upon opining but already well drinkable and enjoyable. Light body wine with notes of red fruit

Salami nose, red berries, herbs. Red cherry, plenty of bite, savoury white pepper hint to the raspberry fruit. Sweetish kick on the finish.

Beautiful as everything they make. Crisp and tense with purity of fruit and super fine tannins. The volcanic side is there but pretty mild.

Red fruit and dry herbs, distinctive reductive volcanic notes I love in Canary wines, which almost disappeares after 15-20 min. Light and elegant

Medium colour. Aroma of black cherry and blackcurrent. Taste fruity yet black peppery sourness on the tongue. Natural wine.

Such a contrast to the Migan. Less reductive. More fleshy. Less intensity. Same great balance. Probably more of a crowd pleaser of the two…if

Description

The wine presents a highly aromatic and fragrant nose, with great intensity and that characteristic spicy nuance typical of the region, offering depth and complexity. On the palate, it shows a medium body, delicate tannins, and a firm, mineral expression, standing out for its greater elegance and finesse.

La Santa de Úrsula 2024 is a limited-edition dry red wine that accurately captures the volcanic character of northern Tenerife. Produced by Envínate, this wine is born from a highly expressive blend: 77% Listán Negro, 20% Negramoll, and 3% Listán Blanco. The grapes come from three small, north-facing plots, where century-old, ungrafted vines are located between 350 and 650 meters above sea level in the La Corujera area.

These vineyards, planted on sandy and clay soils with a base of red basalt rock, contribute a distinctive profile deeply linked to the volcanic landscape. Each plot was vinified separately, combining carbonic maceration in one part and whole-cluster fermentation in the other, always in concrete tanks to preserve freshness, varietal purity, and the identity of the terroir.

The 2024 vintage stands out as the best harvest produced to date in the Tacoronte-Acentejo region. After a 2023 marked by wildfires, 2024 arrived with drier and healthier weather—crucial in a humid area susceptible to disease—resulting in slightly lower yields (10% less than in 2023) but with extraordinary balance. The wine has 12% alcohol, a pH of 3,33, and 6,18 g/l of acidity, reminiscent of a refined version of the 2021 vintage. Total production was 5.700 bottles, bottled in July 2025.

If you want to discover a volcanic, authentic and unique red wine from the Canary Islands, La Santa de Úrsula 2024 is a magnificent option to buy wine online and enjoy a different and exciting wine experience.
