Happy to see this one at a RdD tasting, as I recently bought some. Glad it delivered 😉🥳 Wet vintage in RdD, for more savoury and restrained

Fantastic Ribera from RODA’s sister winery. Bold and powerful, with dark plum and berries and oaky aromas nicely blended. A huge wine!

Produced by bodegas Roda from Rioja, which is quite noticeable if you see the bottles next to each other. Roda 1 is a slightly better wine, but

Corimbo I 2016, the outstanding wine from Bodegas La Horra in the Ribera del Duero DO. This exceptional wine, made from 100% Tempranillo variety from organic vineyards in La Horra and Roa de Duero (Burgos), stands out for its roots in a centuries-old winemaking tradition.

Grown using sustainable practices in glass-shaped and non-irrigated vineyards, the grapes, with an average age of 60 years, reveal the richness of a terroir marked by altitudes ranging between 700 and 900 meters. This environment, characterized by a continental climate with cold winters and warm summers, allows us to extract the best from the grapes and the soil, giving the wine uniqueness.

The harvest, carried out manually with a selection table, guarantees the quality of the grapes. In the winery, the vinification of Corimbo I 2016 undergoes spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in French oak vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels. With a minimum aging of 16 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels, and a natural stabilization and clarification process, this wine emerges as a testimony of artisanal care.

This wine, which encapsulates the essence of Ribera del Duero, is distinguished by its simultaneous elegance, intensity and freshness. In this 2016 vintage, possibly one of the largest, its exceptional balance stands out, marking a milestone in the history of Corimbo I. Discover the unique experience of buying Corimbo I 2016 wine and immerse yourself in the excellence of Ribera del Duero.
